I started buying these gourmet candles from my hairdresser, Therese. She was selling them as part of a fundraiser for a very good friend (who eventually became our sponsor!). Before long I found I was buying two candles every time I got my hair done. Then I tried the soy bar soap, then the body wash. I was totally hooked on these products!

When I first considered joining Candle of the Month, it was strictly to save a few bucks on these sensational products I was buying anyway. Then after reading my sponsor's web site and researching the company on the web, I saw the potential of selling these products as well. My husband Jim likes the candles, too, and quickly joined in my enthusiasm. While I never envisioned myself in the network marketing industry, I am very impressed with this young company.

I started working from home while still in my corporate position as a Training Specialist developing computer-based instruction for a nationwide insurance company. Life circumstances ended a long career there. I never did really enjoy being a cubicle rat and was very weary of the stress of the corporate world.

Then Jim and our daughter started showing horses, and in 1995 our horse trainer asked me to develop a web site for his business. Since retirement years are slowly sneaking up on us and income that used to be assured can no longer be relied upon, the draw of the residual income in this business is strong as well.
